Noticieros Televisa is the news division of Grupo Televisa, a major media company in Mexico. It creates and shares news for Televisa's TV channels and local stations across the country. Think of it as the main news team for one of the biggest TV networks in Mexico!

Leopoldo Gómez is currently in charge of Noticieros Televisa. He is the Vice President of News for Televisa.

The Story of Noticieros Televisa

After a famous news show called 24 Horas ended on January 20, 1998, Televisa changed how its news division worked. A well-known news anchor, Jacobo Zabludovsky, hosted 24 Horas.

From 1998 to 2000, Jacobo's son, Abraham Zabludovsky, hosted the new 10 p.m. news show, which was simply called Las Noticias. Later, Joaquín López-Dóriga took over as the host from 2000 to 2016.

Many other famous people have also hosted news programs for Televisa. Some of these include Lolita Ayala, Guillermo Ortega, Adela Micha, Carlos Loret de Mola, and Víctor Trujillo (who was known as "Brozo").

News Programs You Can Watch

National News Shows

Most of Televisa's national news shows are shown on its main channel, Las Estrellas. These programs cover different times of the day.

Since 2016, the main 10 p.m. news show, called 10 En Punto, has been hosted by Denise Maerker. Other weekday programs include Despierta (which means "Wake Up"), hosted by Danielle Dithurbide, and Al Aire with Paola Rojas in the mornings.

The afternoon news show, El Noticiero con Karla Iberia Sánchez, used to be on Las Estrellas. In 2018, it moved to another channel called Nu9ve. This is the only regular news program on Nu9ve. After this move, Las Estrellas did not have an afternoon news show for the first time in many years.

FOROtv: All News, All the Time

In 2010, Televisa started a special channel called FOROtv. This channel is completely dedicated to news, discussions about important topics, and documentary shows.

If you are in Mexico City, you can watch FOROtv on channel 4. It also appears as an extra channel on 21 other Televisa TV transmitters in big cities across Mexico.

Local News in Your Area

Besides its national news, Televisa also creates local news programs at each of its Televisa Regional stations. These local news shows have names like El Noticiero, Las Noticias, and Notivisa. They bring you news that is important to your specific region or city.
