Kids Encyclopedia Facts

Nottingham Country is a planned community built in Harris County, Texas, during the 1970s and 1980s. It's located between the cities of Katy and Houston. As of 2014, about 2,400 homes were in this area.

Nottingham Country was developed in different stages. It is bordered by Interstate 10 to the north, Westgreen Boulevard to the west, Fry Road to the east, and Highland Knolls Drive to the south. The neighborhood has 10 sections, with Section 1 being the oldest. Even though it's not officially part of Katy, it uses the Katy post office (zip code 77450) and is served by the Katy Independent School District.

Two groups help manage the community. The Nottingham Country Community Improvement Association (NCCIA) looks after most sections. Section 10 is managed by the Nottingham Country Fund Inc.
