Nounan is a small, unincorporated community located in Bear Lake County, Idaho. This means it's a settlement that doesn't have its own local government, but is part of the larger county. You can find Nounan in the southeastern part of Idaho, just a few miles west of a town called Georgetown.

There was also an elementary school where local children went to learn. The community also had a meetinghouse for LDS Church. These places were central to daily life in Nounan.
Changes Over Time
However, over the last 50 years of the 1900s, Nounan's population started to shrink. Many people moved away, and the community became much smaller. Because of this, the post office, school, and church meetinghouse are no longer used for their original purposes. Some of these public buildings have even been changed into private homes. For example, the old church building is now a house, and the former school has been converted into a barn used for storing hay.
