Nubba is a small place, also known as a locality, in New South Wales, Australia. It's located right in the middle of two other towns, Wallendbeen and Harden. For many years, Nubba was an important stop on the Main South railway line.

Discovering Nubba

Nubba used to have a busy railway station. This station was open for a long time, from 1882 until 1975. If you visit Nubba today, you won't see the station building. It was taken down after it closed.

A Glimpse into Nubba's Past

Nubba has a cool connection to Australia's history! A former Prime Minister, Harold Holt, spent some of his childhood here. A Prime Minister is the leader of the country's government.

Harold Holt's grandparents owned a big farm near Nubba. He lived there for a short time when he was a kid. He even went to the local school, called Nubba Public School.

The number of people living in Nubba has changed over the years. In 2006, about 281 people called Nubba home. By 2016, the population had become smaller, with 76 residents. However, in the most recent count in 2021, the population grew slightly to 77 people.
