Nueva Colombia District facts for kids
Nueva Colombia is a small town, also called a district, located in the Cordillera Department of Paraguay. It sits on the road that connects the towns of Emboscada and San Bernardino. This area is about 160 metres (or 525 feet) above the level of the sea.
What Does Nueva Colombia Mean?
The name Nueva Colombia means "New Colombia" in English. The people who first founded this town chose this name because the coffee grown in the area reminded them of the famous coffee from Colombia. It was a way to show how good their local coffee was!
