Nuevo Paysandú is a town located in western Uruguay. It's like a northern neighborhood or suburb of the larger city of Paysandú. This town is part of the Paysandú Department, which is one of Uruguay's regions.
Where is Nuevo Paysandú?
Nuevo Paysandú is right on the coast of the Uruguay River. This river forms a natural border between Uruguay and Argentina. The town is just south of a small stream called Arroyo de San Francisco Grande. It's also located west of Route 3, which is an important road in Uruguay.
At the western edge of Nuevo Paysandú, you'll find the Area Industrial F1 Norte of Paysandú. This is an industrial zone. Also nearby is the General Artigas Bridge. This big bridge crosses the Río Uruguay and connects Uruguay to Argentina. It links up with National Road #135 in Entre Ríos Province, Argentina.
