Nyam-Osoryn Tuyaa (Mongolian: Ням-Осорын Туяa) was born in 1958. She is a former politician from Mongolia. She briefly served as the acting Prime Minister of Mongolia in 1999.
She also worked as the leader for a big meeting. This meeting was the 55th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP). This group helps countries in Asia and the Pacific work together.

Early Political Career
Becoming Foreign Minister
Nyam-Osoryn Tuyaa became the foreign minister of Mongolia in 1998. A foreign minister is like a country's main diplomat. They handle how their country talks and works with other countries.
She was part of a government led by the Democratic Party. The leader of that government was Janlavyn Narantsatsralt.
Short Time as Acting Prime Minister
In 1999, the government she was part of had to step down. Because of this, Nyam-Osoryn Tuyaa became the acting Prime Minister. An "acting" Prime Minister fills the role for a short time. They do this until a new, permanent leader is chosen.
She served in this important role from July 22 to July 30, 1999. After this short period, the State Great Khural, which is Mongolia's parliament, chose a new Prime Minister. His name was Rinchinnyamyn Amarjargal.
After the Prime Minister Role
Returning to Foreign Minister
After her time as acting Prime Minister, Tuyaa went back to being the foreign minister. She continued in this role in the new government.
The 2000 Elections
Her time as foreign minister ended after the 2000 elections. In these elections, her party lost. The People's Revolution Party won almost all the seats in parliament.
Nyam-Osoryn Tuyaa also lost her own seat in parliament. She had represented a district in Khentii Province. After the 2000 elections, she was no longer a member of parliament.
