OMG, which stands for "Officially Miss Guided," is a cool American teen pop girl group. They were first known as the OMG Girlz. Their name means they are young ladies who are "Guided" in positive ways.

The group started in 2009 in Atlanta, Georgia. Tameka "Tiny" Cottle helped form them. They first performed on the TV show Tiny and Toya. They also appeared on T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle in 2012. Their goal is to inspire girls and young women everywhere to stand together as friends. They are famous for songs like "Can't Stop Loving You," "Where the Boys At?," and "Gucci This (Gucci That)."

On December 31, 2017, OMG got back together for a special performance. They joined Xscape on the Great Xscape Tour.

The Story of OMG

How OMG Started

Before OMG, Zonnique "Star" Pullins was in a group called QT Posse. Zonnique's mom, Tameka "Tiny" Harris, helped form OMG Girlz. The first OMG group had four members: Zonnique "Star" Pullins, sisters Bahja "Beauty" and Lourdes "Lolo" Rodriguez, and Reginae "Baby" Carter. Their parents were all good friends.

Early Changes in the Group

After their first song "Ain't Nobody" came out in 2010, Reginae "Baby" Carter left the group. A few months later, OMG Girlz released their second song, "Haterz." They even performed "Haterz" on Good Day Atlanta.

Then, Lourdes "Lolo" Rodriguez also left the group because she was very young. This left OMG as a duo with only "Beauty" and "Star." While they looked for a third member, they released their fourth song, "So Official." Soon after, they found Breaunna "Babydoll" Womack. They saw her dancing to Beyoncé's song "Ego" in a video on YouTube!

New Beginnings and Success

In 2011, the girls joined the Scream Tour: Next Generation. This tour helped them gain fans all over the country. Their first song as a trio, "Gucci This (Gucci That)," was a hit on the tour.

After the tour, in December 2011, OMG Girlz signed with Interscope/Streamline Records. On February 28, 2012, "Gucci This (Gucci That)" was officially released. It became popular, reaching No. 59 on Billboard's R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.

Their second song, "Where the Boys At?," came out on June 12, 2012. It reached No. 77 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. While on tour, they also teased a song called "Lover Boy." This song later became one of their most awaited tracks. OMG also appeared in T.I.'s music video for "Hello."

In Fall 2013, they released "Can't Stop Loving You" and "Baddie." In Summer 2013, they released three more songs: "Do You Remember," "Incredimazable," and "Ridin' Slow." This was just before their All Around The World tour with the group Mindless Behavior.

Growing Up and Breaking Up

In Spring 2014, the group released a more grown-up song called "Boy It's Over." This song used a sample from the R&B group Jagged Edge's song "Girl It's Over."

On March 12, 2015, OMG announced on their Instagram that they would no longer be a group. Since then, each member has started their own solo music projects.

Getting Back Together

After their reunion on the Great Xscape Tour in 2017, the band went back to the studio. In May 2023, they started recording their long-awaited song, "Lover Boy." On June 17, OMG announced that "Lover Boy" would be released on July 14, 2023. They also shared that their new album would come out in Fall 2023.

OMG attended the BET Awards on June 25, 2023, for the first time in 11 years. On July 11, 2023, they released the official cover for "Lover Boy." The song "Lover Boy" was released on July 14, 2023. It was their first new song in over 10 years! OMG Girlz also attended Beyoncé's Renaissance World Tour on August 14.
