Oak Hall is a small, special place in Wisconsin. It's what we call an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and businesses that isn't officially a city or a village on its own. Instead, it's part of a larger local government area.
What is Oak Hall?
Oak Hall is located in Fitchburg, a city in Dane County, Wisconsin. You can find it where two roads meet: Fish Hatchery Road (also known as County Highway D) and County Highway M. It's just a little bit north of the town and village of Oregon.
A Bit of History
Oak Hall used to be part of the Town of Fitchburg. But things changed in 1983. That's when the area officially became a city, and Oak Hall became part of the new City of Fitchburg. Even though it's now part of a city, Oak Hall still feels like its own unique neighborhood. It's different from the newer housing areas being built nearby.
