Oberne is a small rural community in the eastern part of the Riverina region of New South Wales, Australia. It is a quiet area where people often live on farms.
Oberne is located about 10 kilometres (6 miles) north-east of a town called Humula. It is also about 18 kilometres (11 miles) south of Tarcutta.
A Look at Oberne's Past
Oberne once had its own post office. This post office was named Oberne Creek Post Office. It first opened its doors on 1 April 1916. The post office served the community for many years. However, it eventually closed down in 1968.
