The Odawa Casino Resort is a fun place to visit in Northern Michigan. It's located in Resort Township, close to Petoskey, Michigan. This resort first opened its doors on June 20, 2007.
The resort is owned and run by the Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians. This Native American tribe built the Odawa Casino Resort to replace their older casino, called Victories Casino. The Odawa Casino Resort is more than just a place for games. It also has many restaurants, shops, a concert hall, and a hotel. While the resort welcomes people of all ages, some areas like the gaming floor are just for adults.

Fun Games and Activities
The gaming area at Odawa Casino Resort is very large, about 50,000 square feet. It has many slot machines and table games like blackjack and poker. There are also over 100 big televisions around the resort. These screens show special events, contests, and sports games.
The poker room has four tables for players. In 2009, the resort offered bingo, but it is not available anymore. Odawa Casino Resort is open all day and night, every day of the week.
Exciting Entertainment
Ovation Hall is a special place at Odawa Casino Resort where live shows happen. This hall can hold up to 1,000 people. It's used for concerts, big shows, and meetings. Many famous performers have been on stage here. These include Bill Cosby, Regis Philbin, The B-52s, The Temptations, and Billy Ray Cyrus.
The O Zone Nightclub is another entertainment spot. It has DJs who play music. The club also has a cool ceiling display that can show live videos. There are even private "party pods" with screens and fireplaces. Besides music, the resort hosts other fun events like stand-up comedy and cooking shows.

The Odawa Casino Resort was built quite quickly, in just 15 months, during 2006 and 2007. The entire resort is about 300,000 square feet. It was built by two companies, Shingobee Builders and Clark Construction. The architect who designed it was Leo A. Daly Architects. The building was designed to be energy efficient.
Impact on the Area
Odawa Casino Resort is very important to the Petoskey area. It helps the local economy by providing many jobs. In 2008, the resort employed about 1,000 people. This made it the second largest employer in the area.
Future Plans
There are plans to make the Odawa Casino Resort even bigger in the future. However, a date for this expansion has not been set yet. One idea is to add a new hotel that would be connected to the main casino building.
