Ofer Shechter (Hebrew: עפר שכטר) was born on April 8, 1981. He is a well-known Israeli actor, comedian, and television host. He also used to work as a model.

Early Life and Beginnings
Shechter grew up in a small community called moshav Hadar Am in Israel. His family has Ashkenazi Jewish heritage. When he was just seven years old, Ofer appeared in a TV commercial for a watermelon ice pop!
After his time in the Israel Defense Forces, Ofer decided to study acting. He attended the Yoram Loewenstein Performing Arts Studio. There, he learned how to act especially for cameras.
Career Highlights
Starting in Television
In 2003, Ofer Shechter was chosen to host a new Israeli youth TV show called Exit. He hosted it alongside other young talents like Mali Levi and Yael Goldman. The show was broadcast on the new Channel 10.
Ofer became very well-known because of Exit. He sometimes did things on the show that caused a lot of discussion. Because of these moments, the show was later moved to be broadcast on cable television.
Acting Roles and Voice Work
Also in 2003, Shechter acted in the Hot 3 telenovela (a type of soap opera) called Mishak Hahayim (Game of Life). He also appeared in a children's song contest called The Festigal. In 2004, he starred in the Israeli musical Peter Pan. He also hosted a music festival in Samakh.
In 2005, Ofer played the main role in the telenovela Telenovela Ba'am (Soap opera, Inc.). He acted alongside Yael Bar-Zohar. The next year, in 2006, he was in another telenovela called Ha-Alufa (The Champion) with Yehuda Levi.
Ofer also appeared in many advertisements. He worked for companies like Cellcom and Bamba. In 2006, he was the main model for the swimsuit company Pilpel. He was also a regular cast member on the funny show Mo'adon Layla (Nightclub).
Shechter has also lent his voice to animated shows and movies in Hebrew. He voiced Zuko in the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender. He also voiced Lightning McQueen in the movie Cars.
Film and Later Projects
In 2006, Ofer Shechter acted in the Israeli film NO exit. This movie won an award at the Jerusalem Film Festival. He continued his role in the second season of Ha-Alufa in 2007.
In 2008, Ofer was busy with several projects. He appeared in the drama series "To Love Anna" on Channel 10. He also acted in the movie "Lost Islands", directed by Reshef Levy. Other projects included the series "Lost & Found" and the Israeli drama series Until the Wedding. He also took part in the satirical show Shavua Sof.
Ofer continued to act in the series Ha-Alufa in 2009. In November 2009, he played a role in the Israeli drama series Noah's Ark. In February 2009, Shechter played the main character in the Israeli drama film Phobidilia.
More recently, in 2023, Ofer Shechter competed in the ninth season of Israel's Rokdim Im Kokhavim ('Dancing with the Stars'). He was eliminated as the 11th couple out of 18.
