Ohio is a small village located in Bureau County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, about 465 people lived there. It is part of the Ottawa Micropolitan Statistical Area. This means it's a smaller town that is connected to a larger city nearby.
History of Ohio Village
The village of Ohio was officially started on January 22, 1877. However, a post office had already been open there since 1854. The village got its name from the state of Ohio.

Education in Ohio
Students in Ohio attend public schools managed by two districts. These are Ohio Community Consolidated Grade School District #17 and Ohio Community High School District #505. Both the elementary and junior/senior high schools are in one building.

For some sports, Ohio schools team up with schools from Amboy and LaMoille. After high school, students can attend Sauk Valley Community College at a special local rate.
