Step Back in Time: What is Ohio Village?
Ohio Village opened on July 27, 1974. It covers about 15 acres next to the Ohio History Center. The village was first designed to show life during the American Civil War. Now, it focuses on what life was like in the 1890s. All the buildings you see are careful copies of real ones from that time.
Visitors can enter Ohio Village through the Ohio History Center museum. It is usually open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. This lets you enjoy both the museum and the village in one visit.
