Ojo Sarco is a small, unincorporated community located in Rio Arriba County, New Mexico, United States. An unincorporated community means it's a group of homes and people living together, but it doesn't have its own local government like a city or town would. Ojo Sarco is nestled in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
This community is about 1 mile from New Mexico State Road 76 and 1.5 miles west-southwest of Las Trampas. Ojo Sarco used to have its own post office until June 8, 1996.

Ojo Sarco was founded by early settlers. These settlers received land as part of the historic Las Trampas Land Grant, which dates all the way back to 1751.
