Okan Yalabık is a well-known Turkish actor. He was born on December 13, 1978, in Istanbul, Turkey. He studied acting at Istanbul University State Conservatory and later learned more about film and drama at Kadir Has University. Since 2001, he has appeared in many movies and TV shows.

Okan Yalabık's Early Life and Acting Journey

Okan Yalabık was born in 1978 in Istanbul. His family originally came from Balıkesir. From a young age, he was very interested in acting. He once shared that his brother, Ozan, brought home a movie by Ferhan Şensoy called Ferhangi Şeyler. Okan loved it so much that he memorized all the lines and decided he wanted to be an actor.

He went to different high schools and even helped start a theater department at Sakıp Sabancı Anadolu High School in 1993. He acted in many amateur plays before joining Istanbul University State Conservatory in 1997 to study theater.

First Roles and Big Breaks

Okan Yalabık got his first acting role in 1998 in a play called Martı at Kenter Theater. He then played different characters in other plays like Nükte and Sırça Kümes at the same theater.

In 2006, he appeared in a music video. In 2007, he was in a commercial for Robert Bosch GmbH in Turkey. Soon after, he started acting in movies such as Gülüm and Kolay Para.

He became more famous when he joined the popular crime TV series Yılan Hikâyesi. He also acted in the show Serseri. Later, he starred in the hit historical series Hatırla Sevgili with actors like Beren Saat and Cansel Elçin. He also appeared in its spin-off series, Bu Kalp Seni Unutur mu.

In 2010, Okan Yalabık won the "Best Supporting Actor" award at the 4th Yeşilçam Awards. This was for his role as Hasan in Yavuz Turgul's movie Av Mevsimi. In the same year, he continued his studies in film and drama at Kadir Has University.

One of Okan Yalabık's most famous roles was Pargalı İbrahim Pasha in the historical TV series Muhteşem Yüzyıl. He appeared in 82 episodes of this show from 2011 to 2013. He even did voiceovers for his character in later episodes.

In 2015, he joined the TV series Analar ve Anneler on atv. He was a main actor alongside Sinem Kobal and Hazar Ergüçlü. However, the show ended after 9 episodes.

In 2016, he acted in the movie Annemin Yarası, which was about the effects of the Balkan Wars. He also lent his voice to characters named Adnan and Çizer in the animated film Kötü Kedi Şerafettin. He continued his theater work, appearing in the play The 39 Steps in Turkey.
