History of Ola's Schools
Before 2004, Ola had its own school system called the Ola School District. On July 1, 2004, the Ola School District joined with another district to form the Two Rivers School District.
The old Ola School District used to have Ola Elementary School and Ola High School. Ola Elementary School had four buildings. The main building and gymnasium were built from natural rock and opened in 1941. Around 2001, about 320 students attended Ola Elementary.
In 2010, Ola High School closed when the new Two Rivers High School opened. Two years later, in 2012, Ola Elementary School also closed as the new Two Rivers Elementary School began serving students.
