Olha Vitaliivna Stefanishyna (Ukrainian: Ольга Віталіївна Стефанішина, pronounced [ˈɔlʲɦɐ wiˈtɑl⁽ʲ⁾ijiu̯nɐ steˈfɑn⁽ʲ⁾iʃɪnɐ]; born on October 29, 1985) is a Ukrainian lawyer and government official. She holds important roles in the Ukrainian government. Since June 4, 2020, she has been the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. This means she helps Ukraine work closely with the European Union and NATO. On September 5, 2024, Olha Stefanishyna also became the Minister of Justice. This gave her two big jobs in the government.

Olha Stefanishyna's Early Career
Olha Stefanishyna started her career as a legal adviser. In late 2007, she joined the Ministry of Justice. This was her first step into government work.
Education and Training
In 2008, Olha Stefanishyna finished her studies at the Institute of International Relations at the University of Kyiv. She earned degrees in international law and English translation. Later, in 2016, she also got a special degree in Finance and Credit from Odesa National Economics University. This education helped her prepare for her important government roles.
Working in Government Offices
From March to December 2017, Olha Stefanishyna worked as the director of the Government Office for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. This office is part of the Cabinet of Ministers Secretariat. After that, she became the director general of the same office. Her job was to help Ukraine connect more with Europe and the NATO alliance.
Political Journey and Key Roles
In the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election, Olha Stefanishyna ran for a seat in parliament. She was number 25 on the list for the Ukrainian Strategy party. However, her party did not get enough votes to win any seats. After the election, she worked for a law firm for a short time.
Becoming Deputy Prime Minister
On June 4, 2020, Olha Stefanishyna was appointed Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration. She joined the Shmyhal Government. In this role, she helps Ukraine become closer to the European Union and NATO. She leads many important groups that work on these goals. For example, she chairs the Commission for Coordination of Euro-Atlantic Integration. She also helps with discussions about climate change and border management.
New Role as Minister of Justice
In March 2021, Olha Stefanishyna became a council member of the political party Servant of the People. On September 3, 2024, she resigned from her role as Deputy Prime Minister. However, the very next day, on September 5, 2024, she was appointed Minister of Justice. This new role was combined with her previous one. So, she now holds two major positions in the Ukrainian government.
Special Envoy to the United States
On July 17, 2025, Olha Stefanishyna was also appointed as Ukraine's special envoy to the United States. This means she represents Ukraine in important discussions and relations with the U.S.
Recognitions and Awards
Olha Stefanishyna has received several honors for her work. In 2021, Focus magazine listed her as one of the "100 most influential Ukrainians." She was ranked 45th on this list. The same year, she was also named 14th on their list of "100 most influential women of Ukraine." She has also received a Certificate of Honor from the Cabinet of Ministers. A legal newspaper, Yurydychna Gazeta, recognized her as one of the top ten lawyers and politicians in Ukraine in 2021.
