Obou Narcisse Olivier Kapo (born September 27, 1980), known as Olivier Kapo, is a French former professional footballer. He mostly played as an attacking midfielder or a left winger. He was known for his skills and played for many clubs across Europe.

Olivier Kapo was born in Marcory, Ivory Coast. He became a French citizen on November 3, 1998.
Club Career
Starting His Football Journey
Olivier Kapo began his professional football career with the French club Auxerre in 1999. He spent several years there, playing in 120 games and scoring 19 goals.
Moving to Juventus and Loan Spells
In 2004, Kapo joined the famous Italian club Juventus. However, it was tough for him to get much playing time there. He was loaned out to other clubs to gain more experience. First, he played for Monaco in France for the 2005–06 season. He scored 5 goals in 25 games for Monaco.
After Juventus was moved to a lower league, Kapo went on loan again. He joined the Spanish club Levante. He played 30 games for Levante and scored 5 goals.
Playing in England
In 2007, Olivier Kapo moved to England to play for Birmingham City. He signed for the club for £3 million. He scored a goal in his very first game in the Premier League against Chelsea. He played 26 games for Birmingham City and scored 5 goals.
In 2008, Kapo joined Wigan Athletic, where he reunited with his former manager, Steve Bruce. He scored his first goal for Wigan in a League Cup match. He left Wigan in 2010.
Time in Scotland and Qatar
On November 4, 2010, Kapo signed an 18-month deal with the Scottish club Celtic. He said he chose Celtic even though other clubs offered him more money. He made his debut for Celtic as a substitute, helping them win 2–0. He left Celtic in January 2011.
In February 2011, Kapo moved to Qatar to play for Al Ahli SC. He scored two goals in five games for the club.
Returning to Auxerre and Later Clubs
In January 2012, Kapo returned to his former club, Auxerre, signing an 18-month contract. He played 40 more games for them, scoring 12 goals.
After his contract with Auxerre ended, Kapo signed with Superleague Greece club Levadiakos. He played 19 games and scored 2 goals there.
In 2014, Kapo signed a one-year contract with the Polish club Korona Kielce. He scored 7 goals in 27 games for them. His contract was not extended after the 2014–15 season.
International Career
Olivier Kapo played for the French national team nine times. He represented France in the 2003 Confederations Cup. He scored a goal against New Zealand in that tournament. He was also a substitute in the final game, where France won the cup by beating Cameroon. He also scored goals in friendly games against Egypt and Serbia and Montenegro. His last game for France was in 2004.
Personal Life
Olivier Kapo's nephew, Maxen, is also a footballer. Maxen started his professional career with Paris Saint-Germain.
