Joining the Sacramento Kings (2009–2011)
On June 25, 2009, the Sacramento Kings picked Omri Casspi as the 23rd overall player in the 2009 NBA draft. This was a huge moment, as he was the first Israeli player to be a first-round pick. On July 10, he signed a multi-year contract with the Kings.
