Once de Septiembre is a small town located in Argentina. It is part of the Tres de Febrero Partido (which is like a county or district) in Buenos Aires Province. The town is also part of the larger city area called Greater Buenos Aires.
The name "Once de Septiembre" means "September 11th" in Spanish. You might also see it spelled "Once de Setiembre" or "11 de Setiembre/Septiembre." Both spellings are correct.
Why is it called Once de Septiembre?
The town gets its name from an important event in Argentina's past. On September 11, 1852, the State of Buenos Aires rebelled against the main government of Argentina. This government was led by General Justo José de Urquiza. The people of Buenos Aires wanted more control over their own area. This rebellion was a big moment in the history of Argentina, and the town was named to remember it.
