History of One Sansome Street
The One Sansome Street building stands next to a very old and fancy bank building. This bank, called the Anglo and London Paris National Bank, was built in 1910. It was designed by an architect named Albert Pissis. The bank building was made of granite and had tall columns. Today, this historic bank building is used as a special entrance and conservatory for the skyscraper.
Over the years, the ownership of One Sansome Street has changed a few times. In 2010, a group called Barker Pacific Group and Prudential Real Estate Investors became the owners. One of the main companies in the building is Citigroup. They signed a new agreement in 2011 to stay in the building until at least 2022. The building also has a direct underground path to the Montgomery Street Station, which is a public transport stop.
