  • Trams: You might see trams moving along the center of the trail.

The Shoreline Walking Trail is just for people on foot. It's about two miles long and runs right next to the eastern side of Onondaga Lake.

  • Distance Markers: You'll find markers along the way. These help you keep track of how far you've walked or run.
  • Special Uses: This trail is also great for strollers and wheelchairs. Kids can use small bicycles with training wheels or tricycles here too.
  • Winter Fun: Even in winter, this trail is open. But remember, it's not cleared of snow.

  • Who Uses It? Bicyclists, walkers, runners, and people who love nature all enjoy this trail.
  • Past Resorts: A long time ago, this side of the lake had fun resorts and dance halls.
  • Rest Stops: You'll find shelters and benches along the trail where you can take a break.
