Learning in Oran: The School Story
Oran is part of the Wapsie Valley School District. For many years, the district's junior high school was located right in Oran. It opened its doors in 1961. However, in 1999, the school had to close. This happened because of a low budget, meaning there wasn't enough money to keep it running.
