Orion is a village located in Henry County, Illinois, United States. In 2020, 1,754 people lived here. Orion is important because it hosts the transmitters for many radio and television stations that serve the nearby Quad Cities area. These include TV stations like KLJB, KWQC-TV, WMWC-TV, WQAD-TV, WQPT-TV, and KQIN. You can also find FM radio station transmitters for WLKU and WXLP in Orion.

History of Orion
Orion was officially started on December 26, 1853. It was founded by a person named Charles W. Dean. For a few years, until 1867, the village had a different name: Deanington.
