Orly is a town located near Paris, the capital city of France. It is part of the Val-de-Marne area and the Île-de-France region. In 2007, about 21,372 people lived in Orly. It is well-known for its large international airport.
Learning and Aviation in Orly
Orly has a history with aviation education. The École nationale de l'aviation civile was built here. This university teaches people about civil aviation. It was located in Orly from 1949 to 1969. You can still see the old university buildings. They are visible from the road that leads to the Paris Orly Airport.
