Ormesby Hall is a beautiful old house in Ormesby, Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, England. It was mostly built in the 1700s and finished in 1754. The house is designed in a style called Palladian, which means it looks like old Roman buildings. It is also a Grade I listed building, which means it is a very important historic place.
This grand house was once the home of the Pennyman family. They lived there for a very long time! The house has been updated over the years. Today, it is known as a classic Georgian mansion. It has a main house and a nearby stable block. The stable block used to be home to the horses of the Cleveland Police Mounted Section until 2013.

Welcome to Ormesby Hall
Ormesby Hall is a special place where you can learn about history and explore beautiful grounds. It's looked after by the National Trust, an organisation that helps protect historic places for everyone to enjoy.
A Home Through History
The Pennyman family started buying land in Ormesby in the 1500s. They bought the main estate around 1600. The family was given a special title, called a Baronetcy, by King Charles II. This was because they supported the king during the English Civil War, a big fight in England's history. The Pennyman family lived in the house until 1983. After Mrs. Ruth Pennyman passed away, the National Trust opened the house and its 110 hectares (about 270 acres) of land to the public.
