Miles played college football at Pasadena City College from 1989 to 1990. He then moved to the University of Houston in 1991. There, he played for the Houston Cougars team. During the 1991 season, he ran for 360 yards and scored one touchdown. He also caught six passes for 39 yards.

Professional Football Career

Joining the Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals picked Ostell Miles in the 1992 NFL draft. He was the 226th player chosen overall. He officially joined the team on July 17, 1992.

In 1992, Miles played in 11 games for the Bengals. He carried the ball eight times for 22 yards. He also returned eight kickoffs for a total of 128 yards.

During the 1993 season, Ostell played in 15 games. He started two of those games. He ran the ball 22 times for 56 yards and scored one touchdown. He also caught six passes for 89 yards. Additionally, he returned four kickoffs for 65 yards. The Bengals released him from the team on August 1, 1994.

Time with the Denver Broncos

Ostell Miles signed with the Denver Broncos on March 30, 1995. However, he was released by the team a few months later, on July 11, 1995.
