Óscar Oswaldo Larriva Alvarado (born in 1946 – died on January 6, 2020) was an important person in Ecuador. He was a politician and also a smart person who taught at universities, known as an academic. He was born in a city called Cuenca, Ecuador.

For many years, he was part of the Socialist Party. Then, in 2006, he joined another political group called PAIS Alliance.
