Acting Career
Roe began his acting journey in the late 1970s. He studied at the Oscar School of Acting and the Brendan Smith Academy.
Stage Acting
Owen Roe has been a very active stage actor for many decades. He won an Irish Theatre Award for his role as Claudius in the famous play Hamlet. He also received a special award at The Irish Times Theatre Awards in 2019. Roe also wrote a play called Fear of Feathers, which was performed in 1991.
