Owikeno Lake (say it like "o-wee-KEE-no") is a large and beautiful lake located in the Central Coast region of British Columbia, Canada. You might also see its name spelled as Owekeeno Lake, Owekano Lake, or Oweekayno Lake. This lake is special because it's a type of lake called a fjord lake. This means it's a long, deep lake that was carved out by glaciers, just like a fjord on the coast.

The lake is connected to Rivers Inlet by a short river called the Wannock River. The name Owikeno comes from the Wuikinuxv people, who are the Indigenous people of this area. Their homes and traditional lands are all around the lake. One of their most important settlements was on an island in the lower part of the lake, called Katit.
