Pérez Castellanos, also known as Castro - Pérez Castellanos, is a cool barrio (which means neighborhood or district) located in Montevideo, the capital city of Uruguay. It's part of a bigger area called municipality D and CCZ 11 in Montevideo's new city plan.
Where is Pérez Castellanos?
This neighborhood is surrounded by other interesting areas. To its west, you'll find Cerrito. If you go northwest, you'll reach Las Acacias. To the northeast is Ituzaingó. On the east side, it borders Villa Española, and to the southeast, you'll find Mercado Modelo. Finally, Bolívar is to the southwest. A famous landmark here is the barracks of the "Blandengues de Artigas," which is like a military base.
