Píndaro de Carvalho Rodrigues (born June 1, 1892 – died August 30, 1965) was a famous Brazilian football player and manager. He played as a defender. Píndaro was also part of the Brazilian national team. He helped them win a big championship in 1919. Later, he became the manager of the national team.

Píndaro de Carvalho Rodrigues was born in São Paulo, Brazil. He became a well-known figure in Brazilian football. He played for two major clubs during his career. These clubs were Fluminense and Flamengo.
Playing for Top Clubs
Píndaro started his career with Fluminense. He played there from 1910 to 1911. After that, he moved to Flamengo. He played for Flamengo for a long time, from 1912 to 1922. As a player, he was known for being a strong defender.
Playing for Brazil
Píndaro also played for the Brazilian national team. He represented his country from 1914 to 1919. One of his biggest achievements was with the national team. He was part of the squad that won the 1919 South American Championship. This was a very important football tournament. Brazil won the championship on their home soil.
Becoming a Manager
After his playing career, Píndaro became a football manager. In 1930, he took on a big role. He became the manager of the Brazilian national team. He led the team during the first-ever FIFA World Cup. This historic event took place in Uruguay.
