Prince Ahadzie Daniels Jr., known as P. J. Daniels, was born on December 12, 1982. He is a former American football player who used to play as a running back in the National Football League (NFL). He played for the Baltimore Ravens in 2006. The Ravens picked him in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft. He was the 132nd player chosen overall that year.
College Football Journey
P. J. Daniels went to Georgia Tech for college. He studied management and also took classes in chemistry. During his four years playing college football, Daniels ran for over 3,300 yards. He also caught passes for 360 yards and returned kicks for 230 yards. In total, he scored 26 touchdowns.
From Walk-On to Starter
One amazing part of Daniels' college career is how he started. In 2002, he began as a walk-on player. This means he wasn't given a scholarship to play. He was seventh on the team's list of running backs. But through hard work, he became the main starting running back for Georgia Tech in 2003.
Setting a Record
While at Georgia Tech, P. J. Daniels set a big record in a NCAA bowl game. In the 2004 Humanitarian Bowl, he ran for 311 yards and scored four touchdowns. This set a new record for rushing yards in a college bowl game!
Playing in the NFL
The Baltimore Ravens picked P. J. Daniels in the fourth round of the 2006 NFL draft. He was the 132nd player chosen overall. As a new player, he didn't get to play in any games for the Ravens in his first year. Before the 2007 season began, he was placed on the injured reserve list.
