About Pachara Chirathivat
Early Life and School
Pachara Chirathivat was born in Bangkok, Thailand. His parents are Thirayuth and Chanadda Chirathivat. His family, the Chirathivat family, started the well-known Central Group business. He has two siblings, Khemmanat and Pimpisa. Pachara went to Chulalongkorn University Demonstration School. He later earned a degree in Business Administration from Chulalongkorn University in 2015. He also spent some time studying in England.
Acting Career Highlights
Pachara Chirathivat started his acting journey in 2011 with the comedy movie SuckSeed. This film was about music and became very popular with both audiences and critics. It even won an award at the 4th Okinawa International Movie Festival.
After SuckSeed, he starred in the movie The Billionaire in the same year. In this film, he played the real-life young business owner Itthipat Kulapongvanich. At first, it was challenging for him to act alone in many scenes, as he was used to having other main actors around him in SuckSeed. He worked hard and was proud of his role in the movie.
In 2012, Pachara joined the cast of the thriller movie Countdown. He played a character named Jack. To prepare for the role, he changed his way of talking, dressing, and walking. He also learned some martial arts to help with the action scenes. Countdown was even considered as Thailand's entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
Later, he became one of the main actors in the TV series Hormones. This show was different from typical Thai TV shows because it explored various real-life issues that teenagers face, like school challenges. Pachara's character, Win, was based on his own experiences and research into teen life. Win was a popular boy at school who later faced some difficult situations. Pachara felt lucky to be part of the series and learned a lot from playing his character. The show was so popular that it had three seasons. Pachara returned for the second season and made guest appearances in the third.
In 2015, he moved to work with Channel 3. He wanted to gain more experience and grow as an actor. He also became a mentor on the first season of The Face Men Thailand.
More recently, in 2024, you can see him in the Thai crime drama The Believers, which is available worldwide on Netflix.
Music Career Journey
Besides acting, Pachara Chirathivat also loves making music, especially electronic and rock music. After his role in SuckSeed, he formed his own rock band called Rooftop. He has also worked with K-pop star Nichkhun. In 2015, he started a new rock band called White Rose with musician Pakorn "Beam" Musikaboonlert. The band's name was inspired by a group of students who stood up for what they believed in during a difficult time in history. Their song "Dear You" was produced by the French band Tahiti 80.
Pachara writes most of the lyrics for his songs. He feels most comfortable singing his own words. He also plays the keyboards and guitar.
Helping Others (Philanthropy)
Pachara Chirathivat is also involved in helping others. In 2014, he supported a 12-year-old boy named Mon, who was very ill. Pachara met Mon through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, as Mon wished to meet him after watching SuckSeed. Pachara continued to support Mon, saying that when people have good lives, they should share their happiness. Every year, around his birthday, he also donates medical equipment to Chulalongkorn Hospital to help patients.
Personal Life
When he was 20 years old, Pachara Chirathivat became a Buddhist monk for three weeks. This is a common tradition in Thailand.
Pachara has also been involved in business. After finishing university, he started running the local branch of the Philippine fast food chain, Potato Corner.
