Packages from Planet X is a fun animated TV show from Canada and the United States. It's about a teenager named Dan who starts getting mysterious packages from outer space! These packages contain strange alien gadgets that cause all sorts of crazy adventures and problems in his town, Iron Bay.
Dan and his best friends, Amanda and Troll, have to figure out what these alien items do. They also have to deal with a grumpy alien named Copernicus who wants the packages for himself so he can take over Earth. The show first aired on Disney XD in July 2013 and later on Teletoon in January 2014. It finished in February 2014.
Characters
Main Characters
- Daniel Aloysius "Dan" Zembrosky (voiced by Vincent Tong) is the main character, a sixteen-year-old who loves hanging out with his friends Amanda and Troll. Ever since the alien packages started arriving, Dan has become a bit of a hero. He often uses the packages to help with everyday problems, but he always tries to do the right thing.
- Amanda Highborn (voiced by Britt Irvin) is the smart one in the group. Her uncle Rory left her a special journal that explains what the packages are and what they do. Because her uncle disappeared, Amanda is very suspicious of everyone in Iron Bay, thinking they might be aliens. She is determined to find out what happened to Rory. Amanda is also afraid of dolls!
- Troll Moko (voiced by Ty Olsson) is Dan's best friend and always ready for action. Like Dan, Troll often uses the packages first and asks questions later. He loves nature and animals, except for raccoons. Even though Troll loves to eat, he's a surprisingly good cook and incredibly strong and athletic!
- Corvis Copernicus/Leepthor (voiced by Brian Drummond) is the main bad guy of the show. He's an alien from Planet X who wants to get the packages back from Dan. His goal is to turn everyone in Iron Bay into cocoons and take over Earth! When he first arrived, Leepthor took over a human body (Copernicus) to hide his true identity.
- Calimary (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain) is a strange creature who is Copernicus's helper. She's a "squibbon," which means she's like a monkey with giant squid arms on her back! She loves banana fish and can be a bit silly, but Copernicus sees her as his closest friend.
Other Characters
- CuRT is a robot helper and the first package Dan ever received. He keeps track of the group's packages at an old observatory. CuRT has a dent on his head, which makes him speak in riddles. Amanda accidentally damaged him by kicking him in the head!
- Duane Zembrovsky (voiced by Colin Murdock) is Dan's dad. He owns a bait shop and often tries to get Dan to work there. He sometimes makes Dan feel guilty for wanting to hang out with his friends instead of working.
- Mrs. Zembrovsky (voiced by Nicole Oliver) is Dan's mom. She runs a daycare class at their house.
- Terrance Buckshot (voiced by Kyle Rideout) is the school bully at West Iron High. He often picks on Dan, which usually leads to Dan using an alien package to get the upper hand.
- Mr. Dooley (voiced by Michael Daingerfield) is the strict science teacher at West Iron High. He often gives Dan a hard time. While he's usually tough on Dan, he can sometimes be a bit softer with Amanda and Troll.
- Overlord is one of the main leaders from Planet X. He often checks on Copernicus's progress and thinks Copernicus isn't doing a good job. However, Dan often tricks him into believing Copernicus is succeeding at taking over Earth.
- Rory is Amanda's uncle. He disappeared but left his journal for Amanda. He was actually captured on Planet X but managed to escape. He's gathering information about Planet X and is trying to help Amanda.
- Mrs. Highborn is Amanda's mom. She often tries to get Amanda to do more "girly" things, like dressing up or playing with dolls, which Amanda doesn't like.
- Mr. and Mrs. Moko are Troll's parents. They run a fishing market and are friends with Dan's dad.
