Pagedale is a city located in St. Louis County, Missouri, in the United States. In 2020, the city had a population of 2,554 people.

History of Pagedale
Pagedale was once mostly farmland. Over time, it became home to many Greek and African-American families.
Early Transportation and Growth
In the late 1800s, a streetcar line was built. A streetcar is like a bus that runs on tracks in the street. This line connected a mental hospital north of St. Charles Rock Road to other areas. This new transportation helped the area grow and allowed more homes to be built.
South of Pagedale, there was a community called Hazel Hill. This area was important for the Lincoln School, which is still standing today. Pagedale officially became a city on February 15, 1950. In 1954, a new neighborhood called Engelholm Gardens was built. It still looks much like it did back then.
Modern City Facilities
In 2001, Pagedale built a new City Hall and Police Facility. This building cost $1 million and included a large space for the local court.

City Rules and Community Action
Cities often have rules to keep things organized and safe. These are called city codes. Sometimes, cities give out tickets or fines when people break these rules.
Changes to City Rules
In 2015, some residents of Pagedale felt that the city was giving out too many tickets for small rule violations. For example, the city code had rules about not having basketball hoops or swimming pools in front yards. It also had rules about how high hedges could be or how windows should look.
Some residents felt these tickets were unfair and were mainly used to raise money for the city. They filed a lawsuit to challenge these practices.
Settlement and Agreement
In 2018, the city of Pagedale reached an agreement. They decided to change how they handled tickets for minor rule violations. This agreement aimed to make sure the city's rules were enforced fairly for everyone.
