Pā'ia (pronounced pa-EYE-ah) is a small town on the northern coast of Maui, an island in Hawaii, United States. In 2020, about 2,470 people lived there. Pā'ia is a popular spot for visitors, with many restaurants, art galleries, and surf shops. It used to have a big sugar mill that operated from 1880 to 2000.
Pā'ia is also the first town you reach on the famous Hana Highway if you're driving east towards Hana. It's very close to famous windsurfing spots like Hoʻokipa and Spreckelsville. Because of this, some people call Pā'ia "The World Capital of Windsurfing."
