Paige Mackenzie, born on February 8, 1983, is an American professional golfer. She played on the LPGA Tour, which is a top professional golf tour for women.

Early Life and Golf Beginnings

Paige Mackenzie grew up in Yakima, Washington. She went to Eisenhower High School and graduated in 2001. During her time there, she was chosen as a top player for the All-Big-9 team every year.

In 2000, she was named the Girl Golfer of the Year. This award came from both the Washington Junior Golf Association and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association. By the time she finished high school, Paige had already placed in the top 10 five times in national tournaments. She even won one championship!

College Golf Career

Paige continued her amazing golf journey at the University of Washington in Seattle. She earned a bachelor's degree in business in 2006. While in college, she finished in the top 10 a remarkable 22 times. This made her the best player on the Huskies' all-time list for top finishes.

She achieved many awards as an amateur golfer. In 2005, she tied for 13th place at the 2005 U.S. Women's Open. She was also named the Pacific Northwest Golf Association's Women's Player of the Year. That same year, she won both the match play and stroke play parts of the Trans National Championship.

In 2006, Paige became the champion of the Pac-10 and the NCAA West Regional. She finished her senior year ranked as the number one amateur golfer in the country by Golfweek magazine.

After graduating, Paige led the U.S. team to a big win at the 2006 Curtis Cup. This event took place at Bandon Dunes in southern Oregon. She had a fantastic record, winning both of her single matches. A week later, she was the top player in the stroke play part of the U.S. Women's Amateur. This event was held at Pumpkin Ridge in northern Oregon. Her last tournament as an amateur was an LPGA Tour event, the Safeway Classic in Portland. She tied for 45th place there.

Professional Golf Journey

Paige Mackenzie became a professional golfer in late August 2006. She played in two LPGA Tour events that year with special invitations. That fall, she competed on the Cactus Tour in Arizona. She then qualified for the 2007 Duramed Futures Tour.

In December 2006, she earned her full playing rights for the 2007 LPGA Tour season. She did this by finishing tied for 12th at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament.

During her 2008 season, she had three finishes in the top 25. These included a 23rd place at the Corona Morelia Championship. She also finished 22nd at the P&G Beauty NW Arkansas Championship. Another top finish was tying for 24th at the Safeway Classic. Paige started 2008 by winning the Sharp Open on the Cactus Tour.

In April 2012, the National Association of Professional Women announced a partnership with Paige Mackenzie. She became their "NAPW Athletic Spokeswoman." Paige also appeared in a national television advertisement campaign for this group during 2012.
