Pamela Tiffin Wonso (born October 13, 1942 – died December 2, 2020) was an American actress. She was known for her roles in movies and TV shows.

Early Life and Modeling
Pamela Tiffin was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, U.S. She grew up near Chicago. As a teenager, she became a successful model. She also went to Hunter College. In 1960, she appeared in a short film called Music of Williamsburg.
Becoming a Hollywood Star
When Pamela was 19, she was on vacation in Hollywood. A film producer named Hal B. Wallis saw her. He arranged for her to try out for a movie role. This led to her first film, Summer and Smoke (1961).
Next, Pamela played the daughter of James Cagney's boss. This was in the comedy movie One, Two, Three (1961). The director, Billy Wilder, was very impressed with her. He even called her "the biggest find since Audrey Hepburn". Pamela was nominated for a Golden Globe award for both of her first two films.
She then got a main role in the musical movie State Fair (1962). In this film, she was the love interest of singer Bobby Darin. She also starred in the comedy Come Fly with Me (1963). This movie was made by MGM.
Pamela continued to study and model. She appeared as a guest on the TV show The Fugitive. She also filmed a TV pilot for Fox, but it did not become a series.
She made two movies for teenagers with James Darren. These were For Those Who Think Young (1964) and The Lively Set (1964). Fox also cast her in The Pleasure Seekers (1964). This movie was a new version of Three Coins in the Fountain (1954).
In 1965, Pamela starred with Burt Lancaster in the Western movie The Hallelujah Trail. She also appeared in a part of Kiss the Other Sheik (1965). This part was filmed in Italy. Her next movie was the mystery film Harper (1966) with Paul Newman. She also performed in the play Dinner at Eight on Broadway.
Moving to Italy
In 1967, Pamela Tiffin moved to Italy. She wanted to explore new things there. She acted in several Italian films. These included The Almost Perfect Crime (1966) and The Protagonists (1968). She also starred in Torture Me But Kill Me with Kisses (1968), which was a very popular comedy. Another film was The Archangel (1969) with Vittorio Gassman.
She returned to America for a short time to film Viva Max! (1969). In this comedy, she played a college student. She also performed in the play Uncle Vanya. In January 1970, she appeared in the last episode of the ABC series The Survivors.
Pamela then went back to Italy. She continued to act in many Italian movies. Some of these were Cose di Cosa Nostra (1971) and The Fifth Cord (1971). She also appeared in Deaf Smith & Johnny Ears (1973) and Kill Me, My Love! (1973). In 1971, she briefly returned to Hollywood for the TV movie The Last of the Powerseekers.
In 2003, Pamela appeared in a documentary. It was called Abel Ferrara: Not Guilty. Her daughter, Echo Danon, was also in it. Pamela wrote a book about her life in 2014. It was called Daring: My Passages. A book about her career, Pamela Tiffin: Hollywood to Rome, was written in 2015.
Family Life
Pamela Tiffin was married two times. Her first husband was Clay Felker. He was an American magazine editor. They married in 1962 and divorced in 1969. Her second husband was Edmondo Danon. He was a philosopher and the son of an Italian film producer. They married in 1974. Pamela and Edmondo had two daughters, named Echo and Aurora.
Pamela Tiffin passed away on December 2, 2020. She was 78 years old. She died in a hospital in Manhattan, New York City.
