Where is Pamplico Located?
Pamplico is in eastern Florence County. It is about 3 miles (5 km) west of the Pee Dee River. The town is also about 19 miles (31 km) southeast of Florence, which is the main city of the county.
South Carolina Highway 51 runs through the center of Pamplico. This highway is often used by people traveling to Myrtle Beach. Myrtle Beach is about 51 miles (82 km) southeast of Pamplico. The town covers a total area of about 1.6 square miles (4.2 square kilometers). Most of this area is land, with a very small part being water.
