How Panago Started
The very first Panago stores opened in 1986. They were in a city called Abbotsford, British Columbia. Back then, the stores had a longer name: "Panagopoulos 2 for 1 Pizza Place."
Changing the Name
Over time, the company decided to make its name shorter and easier to remember. First, it became "Panagopoulos Pizza Place." Then, it was shortened to "Panagopoulos." Finally, in the year 2000, the name became "Panago."
Growing Across Canada
Panago's main office is still in Abbotsford. They also have another office in Downtown Toronto. In the late 2000s, Panago started opening many new stores. They focused a lot on the province of Ontario. The first Panago store in the city of Toronto opened in April 2007.
New Menu Options
By 2023, Panago began offering a special menu. This menu included delicious vegan options for people who do not eat meat or dairy.
