Parkgate is a small village located in Dumfries and Galloway, a region in Scotland. It sits just east of the A701 road, about 8 miles (13 km) north of the town of Dumfries. The village is also a few miles east of the Forest of Ae, a large forest area.

What is Parkgate Like?
Parkgate is a quiet village with a few important features. It used to have a Post Office and an inn called the Ae Inn, but these are now closed. The village is part of the old Kirkmichael parish. Kirkmichael Church is about one mile west of Parkgate. Church services are still held there regularly.
