Paso de Carrasco is a city in the Canelones Department of Uruguay. It is also known simply as Paso Carrasco.
The name Paso Carrasco also refers to the larger area called a municipality. This municipality includes the city itself, plus Barra de Carrasco and the area around the International Airport.

Where is Paso Carrasco?
The city is located on Route 106, also known as Camino Carrasco. It is just east of a stream called Arroyo Carrasco. This stream forms a border with the Montevideo Department. To the southeast, Paso Carrasco borders the Ciudad de la Costa. The Carrasco International Airport is located to the northeast of the city.
A Quick Look at History
Paso Carrasco has grown a lot over the years.
- On October 15, 1963, it was officially recognized as a "Pueblo," which means a village. This happened because of a special law, Ley Nº 13.167.
- Later, on October 19, 1994, its status was changed again. It became a "Ciudad," meaning a city. This was made official by another law, Ley Nº 16.608.

- According to a count done in 2011, called a census, Paso Carrasco had 15,908 people living there.
- In 2010, the local government, called the Intendencia de Canelones, thought the municipality had about 19,775 people.
