Patrick Alan Batteaux (born April 18, 1978) is a former American football player. He was a wide receiver for the San Diego Chargers in the National Football League (NFL). Before playing professionally, he played both football and basketball at Texas Christian University (TCU).

Early Life
Pat Batteaux was born in Houston, Texas, on April 18, 1978. He grew up and went to Elkins High School in Missouri City, Texas.
College Career
Pat Batteaux was a key player for the TCU Horned Frogs football team. He played for four years, from 1996 to 1999.
Playing as a Wide Receiver
For his first two years, 1996 and 1997, Batteaux played as a wide receiver. In 1996, his freshman year, he caught six passes for 58 yards. The next year, as a sophomore, he caught 27 passes for 396 yards and scored one touchdown.
Playing as a Quarterback
In 1998, Pat Batteaux changed his position to quarterback. That season, he completed 55 passes for 519 yards and one touchdown. He also ran the ball 149 times for 479 yards, scoring three rushing touchdowns.
In 1999, his final year, he continued as quarterback. He completed 27 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed 92 times for 333 yards and two touchdowns.
College Basketball
Besides football, Batteaux also played college basketball for TCU. He appeared in three games as a guard during the 1997–98 season.
Professional Career
After college, Pat Batteaux was not chosen in the 2000 NFL draft. However, he signed with the San Diego Chargers on April 17, 2000.
Joining the Chargers
The Chargers released him on August 20, 2000. But he rejoined them on their practice squad on August 30, 2000. He stayed on the practice squad for the rest of that year.
He signed with the Chargers again on February 21, 2001. He was released on September 2, 2001, but then signed back to the practice squad on September 4.
Playing in the NFL
On November 14, 2001, Batteaux was moved to the Chargers' main team roster. He played in two games, catching one pass for six yards. He was released again on December 4, 2001.
He quickly rejoined the practice squad on December 6, 2001. Then, on December 14, 2001, he was promoted back to the active roster. He played in the final three games of that season, catching two passes for 19 yards.
The Chargers released Pat Batteaux for the last time on August 31, 2002.
