Patrice Barnes is a Canadian politician. She used to be a school trustee, helping to manage schools. From 2022 to 2025, she was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario. This means she was an elected representative for a specific area in Ontario. She was part of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario. She represented the area called Ajax.
Political Career
Becoming an MPP
Patrice Barnes was first chosen by voters in the 2022 Ontario general election. This is when people vote for who they want to represent them in the government. After being elected, she became a Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP).
Role as Deputy Speaker
In 2023, Patrice Barnes was given an important role. She was appointed deputy speaker. The deputy speaker helps the main speaker run meetings in the Legislative Assembly. They make sure everyone follows the rules during debates.
Re-election Attempt
