In 2009, Mayayo helped start a group called the Asociación de Mujeres en las Artes Visuales. This means the "Association of Women in Visual Arts." She was one of the first members of its board.

From 2012 to 2013, Mayayo helped organize an art show. She worked with Juan Vicente Aliaga on this project. The show was called "Feminist genealogies in Spanish art 1960-2010." It took place at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Castilla y León. Many famous artists took part, like Eva Lootz and Esther Ferrer. The exhibition explored feminist ideas in Spanish art from the 1960s to 2010.
