The Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park (CORP) is a huge public park in Waipio, Oahu, Hawaii. It covers about 269 acres (which is like 200 football fields!) and is run by the City and County of Honolulu. The park officially opened its doors on July 21, 2001, and has been a busy sports hub ever since.

CORP is a fantastic place for many different sports. It has a big tennis center with 20 courts, a special aquatic center for swimming, and lots of fields for baseball, softball, soccer, and football. There's even a 20-lane archery range where you can practice your aim! Many local teams use the park, including the Hawaii Pacific University Sea Warrior baseball team and the Chaminade University Silversword softball team. Even a professional baseball team from Korea, the Hanwha Eagles, comes here for spring training!

The park was given its current name in 2007 to honor a very important person, Patsy Mink.

There are also four regulation softball fields, making it a great place for tournaments and league games. For those who enjoy target sports, CORP has a 20-lane archery range. It's a safe and dedicated space where archers can practice their skills and even compete.

Big Events at the Park

The Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park has hosted many important sporting events. For example, it was the location for the Junior Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in both 2012 and 2022. These championships bring together talented young swimmers from around the Pacific region to compete. The park also hosted the 2007 Hawaii High School Athletic Association (HHSAA) Softball Tournament, where high school teams battled for the state title.
