Early Life and Family
Paula Taylor was born in Bangkok, Thailand. Just two weeks after she was born, her family moved to Australia. Her mother is from a Thai Chinese background, and her father is English. Paula grew up in Perth, Western Australia. When she was nine, her parents divorced, and she moved to Brisbane, Queensland. She later earned a degree in Business Administration from Assumption University.
How She Started Her Career
Paula began her career when she was visiting family in Thailand. She was asked if she wanted to try modeling. Soon, she was appearing in commercials and small Thai movies. She became a regular VJ (video jockey) for Channel V Thailand. A TV producer named Tanawat Wansom discovered her. She quickly became very popular as a TV host and presenter. In 2006, she starred in the Thai romantic comedy movie The Memory.

Competing on The Amazing Race Asia
Paula Taylor took part in The Amazing Race Asia 2 with her friend Natasha Monks. This is a reality TV show where teams race around the world. In one part of the race, they finished last, but they were lucky because it was a non-elimination round. However, in the next part, which was in Hungary, they finished last again. This meant they were the sixth team to be eliminated from the race. They ended up finishing in 5th place overall.
Paula also made a special appearance on The Amazing Race Asia 3. She was there to greet the teams at the finish line of the first part of the race, alongside the show's host, Allan Wu.
Acting in Hollywood and Asia
In 2011, Paula made her first Hollywood movie, Hellgate. She acted alongside famous actors like William Hurt and Cary Elwes. Because of her time on The Amazing Race Asia, many people in Southeast Asian countries recognized her.
In 2009, she got a main role in a movie called Love On Line. She played a version of herself in the film, starring with Filipino comedian Vic Sotto. She also appeared as a guest host on the TV show Eat Bulaga!, where Vic Sotto is a regular. She was also seen on the Philippine TV variety show SOP.
Life Today
Paula has lived in Hong Kong and London. She has been focusing on raising her three children. However, she still travels around Asia for commercials and guest appearances on TV.
After her divorce, Paula brought her children back to live in Thailand. She returned to acting after 10 years. She starred as Stella, a Thai American single mom, in the movie Taklee Genesis. This film is a special science fiction movie made by a Thai company and Warner Bros. working together. It was directed by Chookiat Sakveerakul.
