Paulino de la Fuente Gómez, known simply as Paulino, is a Spanish professional footballer. He was born on June 27, 1997. Paulino plays as a winger for Real Oviedo, a club in Spain's Segunda División.

Paulino's Football Journey
Starting Young in Spain
Paulino was born in Santander, Spain. He started playing football very early, joining AD Pandas when he was just six years old. As he grew, he played for other youth teams like Club Bansander and Racing de Santander.
Playing for Big Clubs
In 2013, Paulino moved to Italy to join the youth team of Inter Milan, a famous club. On February 1, 2016, he returned to Spain and signed with Atlético Madrid for two and a half years. He played for their Juvenil A squad, which is a youth team.
Later that year, in July, Paulino joined Deportivo Alavés. He started playing for their reserve team, Deportivo Alavés B, in a league called Tercera División.
Making His Senior Debut
Paulino played his first senior game on August 28, 2016. He came on as a substitute for the last 29 minutes in a big 4–0 win against Santutxu FC. On December 8, he scored his first goal for the team.
Paulino became a regular player for the Alavés B team. In September 2018, he extended his contract until 2021. That season, he scored five goals in 24 games, helping his team get promoted to Segunda División B.
Playing in Top Leagues
On June 21, 2020, Paulino made his first appearance for the main Deportivo Alavés team. This was also his debut in La Liga, Spain's top football league. He came on as a substitute in a game against RC Celta de Vigo.
Later that year, on September 23, Paulino signed a one-year contract with UD Logroñés. This team had just been promoted to the Segunda División.
Moving to New Teams
On July 1, 2021, after Logroñés was relegated, Paulino signed a two-year deal with Málaga CF, another team in the second division.
The next year, on June 20, Paulino left Málaga and moved to Mexico. He joined C.F. Pachuca, a club in the Liga MX, which is Mexico's top league.
Returning to Spain with Real Oviedo
On July 25, 2023, Paulino came back to Spain. He joined Real Oviedo on a one-year loan deal, playing again in the second division. He played very well during this loan period.
Because of his good performance, on July 19, 2024, Paulino signed a permanent two-year contract with Real Oviedo. He continues to play for them today.
